What we provide
Hero of You creates personalized children's storybooks: you upload a photo of a child, and our AI-based engine writes and illustrates a story starring them. You can preview the book for free; if you love it, you can buy a digital edition or a printed keepsake (softcover or hardcover) delivered by our print partner.
Accounts
You can browse and preview as a guest, or create an account with an email and password or Google. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details private. You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase.
Your content and permissions
You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child in any photo you upload, or that you have the parent or guardian's explicit permission to use it.
You keep all rights to the photos you upload. You grant us the limited license we need to process the photo and produce the book - nothing more. The personalized book we generate for you is yours to read, download and print for personal, non-commercial use.
Do not upload photos of adults, other people's children without permission, or any unlawful content. We may remove content and close accounts that break these rules.
Purchases, prices and delivery
Prices are shown in US dollars at checkout and may change over time; the price you see when you pay is the price you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe - we never see or store your card number.
Digital editions are available immediately after payment. Printed books are produced on demand by our print partner (Gelato) and shipped to the address you provide; estimated production and delivery times are shown at checkout and in your order page. A printed book is only sent to production after you review and approve it.
Our 30-day guarantee and refunds
If you are not happy with your book, contact us within 30 days of purchase at shushanran@gmail.com and we will regenerate it, reprint it, or refund you. See the full Refund Policy for details.
AI-generated content
Stories and illustrations are generated by AI personalized to the details you provide. Generation is creative by nature: small artifacts or variations can appear, and the free preview exists precisely so you can check the book before paying. Regeneration of pages you are not happy with is part of the product.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
